NOTE: I receive many e-mails lately asking me "if the address appearing on this site is correct"
The address is 100% CORRECT!
Name here is John Theofilopoulos, SV3AQR, 10-x # 64628, born in 1969 in town of Amalias, Greece.
For as long as I can remember, I've always wanted to be a ham radio operator.
When I was a small child I was very interested in learning as much as I could
about electronics antennas and radios, i finally took the step in 1988 at age of 18.
I spend much of my time working DX!
I chase DXCC countries, prefixes, US states & counties and aeronautical mobiles!
My logbook contains more than 200.000 QSOs (mostly on paper) since my first CQ in 1988.
Current QSL card (1999-TODAY) One of my first prints of QSL's (1989-1999)

I made a dream come true since i was a child.
It's very hard in the beginning to understand that the whole idea is not to beat the other runners. Eventually you learn that the competition is against the little voice inside you that wants you to quit...

In 1993 I manage to use (upon request) a local medium waves (Radio Station of Amalias, A.M.1584KHz) 54m.top loaded tower, as TX antenna on 160m!
