 John P.Theofilopoulos, SV3AQR, 10-x # 64628, born in 1969 in town of Amalias, Greece.John's amateur activities began when he was first licenced (a  dream since was child come true!) in 1988 at age 18.Elmer, DX’er and contester chase countries, prefixes, QSL's,and photos of other hams. His logbook contain more than 150000 QSOs (mostly on paper) since his first CQ in 1988.

Other activities: Running,  Listening music. Ex-calls: J43A(‘91), J43O (‘92-‘96-2K), J43TEI (‘93). John spends much of his time working DX! Awards received: ARRL DXCC (Phone) #20,601 (332 countries), ARRL 10m DXCC#32,726 (282 countries),DXCC Challenge (1902  Countries), 10m (Phone) W.A.S.#52,018, 5BDXCC #6489,  5BWAZ #1556, QRP DXCC, CQ DX Honor Roll, CQ WPX Honor Roll (2099 prefixes), IARU 5BWAC. John has been very active in contests, as a matter of fact, during the CQ WW contest’91, he worked barefoot 125 countries (single band DXCC in 48h. contest period without cluster help!) fact that gave him the 4th World place single band low power , 1st place in Europe.

In 1993 John manage to use (upon request) a local medium waves (Radio Station of Amalias, A.M.1584KHz) 54m.top loaded tower,as transmit antenna on 160m!

Another activity is C.W. propagation beacons and runs one, since 1991 on 10m, (28.182,5MHz) on a vertical antenna with the power of 4 watts, and a second one, since 1998 on 2m (144.488,0MHz) with 5 watts power on a big wheel, both running (A1A), 24 hours a day from KM07QS, 80m.A.S.L.

He is also QRV on 2m SSB looking for Tropo-Sporadic-E  propagation QSO's (144.300 +- QRM) with 20 DXCC countries already confirmed!

John works as a civil engineer and lives in Patras, (KM08UF) Peloponese, Greece.
