Radio Amateur Association of West Greece is founded at 1985.

We celebrate our 25 years on the air this year.

SZ1A as is the official call, participates in contests every year. We have taught many Greeks how to run a contest, how to chase DX, etc. We always are a creative voice between the Greek amateurs.

We maintain 3 local voice repeaters, an echolink station.

We organize educational projects for our members

We help and educate everyone to get his radio amateur license. We want to be proud because anyone will be a ham and member of our club.

We have more than 100 members and we are one of the oldest clubs in Greece.

We help our local community (participation in fire protection every year, responsible for communication in Semi-Marathon race Mich. Kousis, etc)

Our future projects are:

to create a contest station. We are very close to end and we hope our brand new contest station will be on the air at this CQWW.

To install a beacon on 2m band.

.and ofcourse to continue helping other amateurs.

We decided to celebrate our club birthday like the radio amateurs only know. We asked and achieved our members to be eligible to use the next 3 months (until 27 October of 2010) the prefix SX25 exclusively. We hope many stations will be on the air celebrating and advertising our birthday.

The cost of the award will be 5 euros to cover shipping cost.

QSL via direct or lotw is ok for SX25A (the official memorial call of SZ1A).
