View from the shack. OptiBeam 18-6 @ 24 m and OptiBeam 1-80+ @ 27 m.

View from the tower. 4" pipe ( under ground ) carring the hardline coax and control cables. Aprx 100 meters.

Shack in the left corner of the house. In background is our old church, Nordtungukirkja. The river name is Tvera.

Digging for the tower base. TF2LL to the right.

770 kg steel in to the base.

28,5 ton concrete to the base.

PST 71D rotaator. Thrust bearing at the top of the rotator. Connection house to the left. Inside is the Rat-Pack antenna switch.

Tower ready. Cables taken up to the tower inside the drive shaft. 2 pc hoisting blocks for wire antennas.

OptiBeam 18-6 on place.

PY2KW, Nelson Pala was a phys. ed. teacher at Avare' C.E.E.N.Cel. Joao Cruz High School. He eventually became the principal and was admired by parents and students. He taught me and other students the first steps of marching band, volleyball and in the art of Ham Radio.
