Originally from California, retired from California Highway Patrol in 2003 and moved to Nova Scotia. Obtained VA1CHP call in Feb 2004. I enjoy DXing, RTTY, and contesting. I have had the pleasure of operating at VE1JF's fantastic contest station for some ARRL and CQWW contests, sad to see it cease operation.

DXpeditions:

2005- VC9W White Head Island --IOTA contest

2006- VC2W Madeliene Islands --IOTA contest

2007- VC1W Bon Portage/Outer Island --IOTA contest

2008- VC1T Bon Portage/Outer Island --IOTA contest

2010- VC9A White Head Island--IOTA contest

2011- VC1D Bon Portage/Outer Island--IOTA contest

I also operate mobile and activate Nova Scotia lighthouses once in a great while.

Other activities include Geocaching, Photography and exploring Atlantic Canada with my wife.

Equip:

FT1000 MKV

Acom 1000 Amp-- usually run 400-600 watts in RTTY mode

3 El SteppIR antenna--20-6 meters

Butternut HF6V antenna-- 80-40 meters

QSL Info: If you would like QSL Direct please include SAE and IRC or enough funds for return postage. Other wise it will be QSL via the BURO. All QSL requests will be answered. Thanks!
