Was first issued the call ZS1IS around 1973 in Cape Town South Africa. In 1978 came to Canada and in 1981 was issued VE7CSQ. (ZS1IS was re-issued to Ian Sutherland V51C for a period. He used it in Walvis Bay. Ian Sutherland died from cancer in April 2004) When the VA series of calls was released by Industry Canada, was issued VA7IS, but still retain VE7CSQ.
