Hello,

Thank you for stopping by! I have been involved in Amateur Radio and Shortwave Listening (SWL) for about 18 years. I like spending my radio time using CW, PSK31/RTTY/Olivia, APRS and experimenting with low profile antenna systems.

Besides Ham Radio, I like to spend time outdoors, hiking and backcountry camping with friends and my trusted K9 companion Hugo. I sometimes also take my FT-817 with me for some back country QRP.

Below is a picture of Killarney Provincial Park near my QTH where I like to camp, hike and canoe.

My HF radio station consists of a Kenwood TS-480HX connected to a MFJ-1788 HI-Q Loop antenna (pictured below). Digital modes are done using a SignaLink USB and netbook computer running Digital Master 780.

I also like to collect QSL cards. Please send QSLs direct, NOT through Bureau. I am happy to exchange cards the same way.

Below is Hugo, my Ham Radio Assistant.

This picture below was taken a few years ago up north from my QTH. Evening temperature was -35 degrees Celsius. Taking apart a frozen Buddipole antenna the next day was not the most enjoyable task.

Thanks for visiting my QRZ page.

Cheers & 73!
