Hi

I am Andrew or Drew as I am known on cw my favorite mode.

I run a yaesu ft 900 a Hw9 for Qrp work and my antenna is basically a bent longwire at 35 feet. It is a 130 feet long and appears to be radiating well in all directions considering todays challenging band conditions.

i now run a ts940sat and soon to be a newer rig for my main station this isa now a reality i am the proud owner of an icom pro3 i love my older rigs but theese newer oner run all over the older ones unbelievable radio this stuff i hear is amazing.

Icom has a new believer lol

I am gratefull to Al ve3mwx and Ray Ve3rxm for their help and getting me hooked up with the radio club again. When I was at field day it was like i never left for 25 years.

I am also thankfull to Rick Goetze ve3zup and Scott hamilton Ve3qu for their digiatal ecperience.

Who can forget Doug Hammond the digital king lol

It has been an honour to be asked to run c w for the Ve3dc contest group from Mr R danby Ve3bk

I am in the market for a newer rig that will easily run todays technology as I find my stuff is basically a generation behind

This will soon bea realityi am looking at a kenwood 2000 or a icom 756pro

I had to move back to Brantford my original home because I went through major major reconstructive open heart surgery that has left me in a long recovery mode and heavily medicated. Therefore a great excuse to sit down a lot and do my favorite hobby again. At least that is the story I tell everyone !

As I am updating this I had the cardio version done and have had one of my medications reduced so I am feeling a lot more normal

I have been licensed since 1987 and have done 99% of my operating on cw but have recently been converted to the digital modes. I especially like psk and good old rtty but sstv is a another mode i like to mess around with.

You will find me haunting the 80m nets in the evenings and passing time on the 40 cw rag chew mode lol. If the bands are open I love chassing cw dx on 20 or in the psk 31 mode.

So that is it for me in a nut shell remember Im bored silly now so if you hear me calling cq on 40 or seeing my trace on the waterfall be sure to give me a call

The please disturb sigh is on oh time for my walk I dont know if I can contain the excitement. This small town living is a lot different than what I used to lol

The best way to qsl me is direct sase with one green stamp the bureau or via lotw ( that will be set up in late January )

73 to all

See you on the bands the waterfall or as the cw man for ve3dc

cheers from ontario canada
