I was first licensed in 1989 and upgraded to advance in 2000. I primarily operate contests both CW and RTTY. I have been operating RTTY contests since 2005 and started CW contesting late 2006. I had to get my code up to contest speed. I was able to get from 10 wpm to 34 in about a year with LOTS of practice. During 2007 I also was bitten with the QRP bug and operate with my newly built Elecraft KX1.

My home station consists of an Elecraft k2 and K3 with a begali Signature key . My antennas is the Alpha Detla DX-EE dipole  located in the attic. This gives me coverage from 10 to 40 meters.  Not mega contesting antenna setup by any stretch of the imagination. But I do live in an antenna restrictive townhouse and that is the best I can do. Having said that I am very surprised with the preformance of the DX-EE antenna. I have been able to get all over the world with 5 or less watts.

During late 2007 I ordered and assembled an Elecraft KX1 never did a kit before but had a blast putting it together and more of a blast contacting other hams with it with QRP power. In 2008 I ordered and assembled the Elecraft k2 and most recently in 2010 a Elecraft k3 was added. If you would like to see more about the station give my blog site a visit

As for QSLing I use eQSL and LOTW.
