Welcome,& Benvenuti to my shack and antenna farm at Guelph, Ontario Canada, located about 80km west of Toronto. We have 15 acres of land, of which 5 acres are being used for antennas. My wife Brenda and I have been living here since we built a new home in 1988. PLEASE SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM, AND ALSO CHECK OUT MY OTHER PAGE FOR THE CLUB STATION VE3HGZ, THANKS Music is my first hobby, I have been playing guitar for over 50years.The pictures with the Band were taken on St. Patrick's day 2010 ,at a retirement home for seniors Members of the musical group, are, Rocco VE3YJ, Gerry VE3AF, and friends. we get great pleasure from entertaining seniors when we see how they react to the music, even if they suffer with dimentia
I was first licensed in1974 with the callVE3HGZ, and later given the call VE3YJ. All my antennas are mono banders with the exception of a 3 wire multi band Rhombic. I hope you enjoy the picturesthat display the constant beautifull sun sets at our QTH. The pictures below are of myself, our now 3 year old gran-daughter Sophia, and my wife Brenda who has been very supportive of my hobby over the last 35 plus years.
The other pictures consist of, my QSL card, and shack, 40m 4 square, sections of a 3 wire rhombic, and a 30m tower, with a 5 element monobander for 15m, and a 4 element mono for 20m at 35m high, and an 80m 4 square, 4 element beam for 12m, 3 element beam for 17m, full wave slopers for 160m, and 80m.There are many other antenna projects planned for next summer and beyond. My QSL card shows how my station is rack (6 x19" racks) mounted, and from the operating position I can select one of two tranceivers, Kenwood TS 940 or JRC/JST 135, with the touch of a rotary switch. I can select any one of 11 different antennas with a remote (stepping motor ) antenna switch. On the top row of my 19" racks, there are 6 linear amplifiers, each tuned to a different band, and can be switched in very quickly when I change bands. This is done by having the linear input , output, and the keying relay on a 9 position, three wafer heavy duty ceramic broadcast type switch.
NO QSL CARDS PLEASE USE QRZ LOG BOOK ONLY.
This is a view of the 80 metre 4 square taken at sunset April, 2009. As of February 22, 2010, I have been using "Logger 32" for my computer logging system.PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER PAGE@ VE3HGZ ,
