Hi: Thanks for looking me up. I started out life in Souris, MB., on June 8th, 1935 - lived on a farm till I was 18, - worked for Manitoba Hydro for 32+ yrs - took early retirement,and move to the country, 18 miles North of Strathclair, near Riding Mtn Nat Park - lived there for 25 yrs (FB ham qth) - last fall ( Sept 2010) we moved into the village of Strathclair. So far, I only have a 50 yr old Mosley MP33 (TA33jr w/SR DE) up at 29 ft, and an 80/40M trap dipole up at 25 ft. I do not have any 6 or 17M antenna up yet. My main rig is an Elecraft K3 - also have a K2 and an IC 7000 (both semi retired) I work mostly 20 M (till I get more ant up). My Grid is DO90,which is kinda rare(and more rare now,till I get a 6 M ant up). Got my ham ticket on Feb 19, 1960, and the novelty still hasnt wore off. I used to be VE4Quick Zipper -XYL was VE4No Zipper (handy) but now I am VE4Quiet Zone and XYL is VE4No Zip (for obvious reasons) One son was VE4Jr Zipper (since dropped his call) - youngest son is VE4Another Quick Zipper. I am new to computers, and havent learned how to put a picture on here yet. (One of these days - maybe). PY2KW, Nelson Pala was a phys. ed. teacher at Avare' C.E.E.N.Cel. Joao Cruz High School. He eventually became the principal and was admired by parents and students. He taught me and other students the first steps of marching band, volleyball and in the art of Ham Radio.
