I was orginally licenced back in 1977 as VE7CRW (Age 15).

I went to the University of Victoria and got my BSc in geography.

I joined the military (Army) in 1985 and operated portable VE8 in the late 1980's and in 1990.

After that I got married and other things took my time away from the hobby.

I retired from the military in 2007 as a Captain, and got back into the hobby in 2010.

We moved to Saskatchewan in 2010 andlove it here, it is a great place to live.

The small town that I live in (Caronport) has a population of 1000-1500. I like the small towns better than the big cities.

I got my VE5 callsign in 2010 and the KS stands for the names of my Daughters, Katrina and Sophie.

My XYL has been very supportive, and has allowed me to purchase a couple of radio's, tower and antenna's.

My primary set up is a Kenwood TS 140S, with a MFJ 297 microphone, and a Kenwood AT180 tuner.

I have a rigblaster and have started to do some digital QSO's, please be patient as I am new to the digital comm world.

My antenna is a Crushcraft A3S up at 25 feet (aprox 8 metres) and my 40 metre antenna is a dipole.

I love DXíng and contesting.

QSL 100%, direct (with SASE), LoTW, or buro
