I am retired after working 35 years in forestry in British Columbia. I spent five years in the Canadian navy followed by eighteen months on Coastal tugboats. My wife Jennifer VE7KIY and I live on a partly treed acreage in the North Okanagan valley near a farming town called Armstrong.

My HF equipment includes: Asteron RS 35M power supply; Kenwood TS 590s transceiver; Elecraft kpa 500 amplifier; Palstar AT2K tuner; Autek Research WM1 power/swr meter (I could not do without). Antennas consist of: four wire antennas tuned to work on 160, 80, 17, 12 meters - G5RV, Superloop 80, Horizontal loop and a zepp long wire. On my Delhi tilt tower I have Cushcraft A3S on an Alliance rotator for 10-15-20 meters with an A743 add-on for 40 meters. Completing my tower antennas is a Cushcraft 13B2 yagi on top of my 50 foot mast for VHF.

My radio shack takes in a corner of a glassed in solarium. When on the air and propagation is good you can hear a fountain trickling in the background. Being in contact with those who enjoy this great hobby continues to be a priviledge after 20 years on the air. Hope to work you on the Bands,

73, Bill ve7kdk
