I earned my Basic Qualification with Honours and my callsign, VE7LGX, in 2012. I plan to take the Advanced Qualification exam in the coming months.

I run a QRP station at 5 watts. My primary interests are building radios, antennas, and propagation. On HF, I've been operating 15m and 10m a lot lately. I'm particularly interested in 6m and 2m SSB, for which I'll be building portable antennas over the next little while. I plan to play with the LF and microwave bands too, as soon as I'm able. I have been having fun with digital modes lately, particularly PSK-31, JT65, WSPR, Olivia, APRS, and RTTY. Slowly but somewhat surely, I am learning Morse Code.

Station

  • Emtech ZM-2 antenna tuner
  • SignaLink USB
  • Rock-Mite 20
  • Icom IC-T70A 5w handheld
