Canberra Region Amateur Radio Club (CRARC) has been allocated the special event callsign VI100ACT as part of the celebrations for the 100th anniversary of Canberra. The callsign will be activated by club members until the end of 2013 in a variety of locations ranging from members home QTH's to a variety of sites around the ACT area, including a number of SOTA peaks.

Between 0100Z on 16Mar and 0100Z 17 Mar, a club station will be using this callsign from the Kowen Forrest for the John Moyle Memorial Field Day. We are planning to be active all bands 160m to 23cm excluding WARC bands.

We are planning on activating the callsign on a variety of frequencies from LF through to UHF and using a number of different modes. Hope to work you from Australia's national capital.

Please note that at this stage, QSL will occur via the bureau only (via VK1ACA), however this may change at a later date. Cards are yet to be designed so it is not envisaged that any will be sent out until later in the year. All cards received will be replied to via the bureau (preferred method) unless a self addressed envelope and sufficient funding for postage (IRC or two US dollars) is provided.
