Born in Suffolk, England in 1945.  Migrated to Australia in 1954. Lived mostly in Wollongong, N.S.W. Worked in the electronics & Communications industry until retirement in 2006. Married Angie in 1977, have one married daughter.

Licenced in 1968 as VK2AGV. Callsigns since then: VK4UQ, VK4ZI, VK1CAG, VK2CAG, now VK4CAG.

All bands 160metres to 70cm. Experimenting with digital modes.

HF equipment: Kenwood TS570S, Icom 756 PRO 111, Acom 1000 HF Linear amplifier, 3-element Steppir with extra 6 metre element at 15 metres high, double extended zepp on 80metres, dipole on 40 metres at 20 metres high.

On 2 metres Icom IC-910 & 20 element phased array + masthead pre-amplifier up 20 metres. Having some success with aircraft enhancement propagation.
