Bora da i Creoso - G'day and Welcome.

Am currently persuing and hoping to complete a solar powered system for my Pedestrain Scooter by being able to increase it general range from 40Km before charging so having a flexible system which will enable me to go much greater distances.  The unit however, will also be used for Portable operations and not Mobile owing to its inability to operate around RF emissions even from a mobile phone system.  Murphy gets everywhere as you all can relate to.  To operate my FT817ND system with the Buddipole antenna arrangements, a seperate gelcel and/or sealed leadacid battery system must be employed to operate the radio, CAT computer system, ATU etc.  Sadly, as usual, when awaiting others to 'come to the party' - delays are inevitable.  Meantime, look for me QRP either on the 20m SSB or PSK31 modes or the 40m SSB bands.  Have a discone operational on 2m and 70cms too though this too is limited owing to constraints outside my control.  My website of  "www.jonboyradio.com" has since 06th AUGUST.2014 been under the control of  Stacpoole Internet.  Updates will be periodic.  Thanks to all those who supported the system especially the Radio Amateur Section and in particular thanks to the 425 DX Net system in being able to maintain a useful [according to some of my readers] service. Grazie Mario & 425 Team.  73 & BCNU de Jon (Ioan) VK4CY - updated 26SEPTEMBER.2014
