My name is Mike and I live in beautiful Brisbane, Australia. I've been a radio-ham since 1985, starting in the club stations YU4FDE and YU4EXA in former Yugoslavia. My first own call-sign was 4N4EX and later T94CQ as Bosnia (now E7) became independent. I lived in Germany for a few years in mid-nineties and was active with the call DL4FMA.
I moved to Australia in 1997 and my fist Australian call-sign was VK4EXA (1997-98) followed by VK4NM (1998-2000) and since May 2000 VK4DX.
I work as a project manager in the customer service industry and also have my own professional photography business.
I am not a QSL bureau member, so paper QSL requests can only be sent via my address above or alternatively you can use LotW to confirm our QSO. For direct QSL requests please include either 1 IRC or $3 (US).
Due to a very densely populated neighbourhood I only use a multi-band vertical antenna. I have no room for any larger antennas, even a small tribander is out of question here.
I have a relatively high noise floor on all bands (S3) and sometimes it's really hard to copy stations calling me back, so please bear with me when I'm trying to dig out your signal from the noise.

My other passion is photography, mostly beauty and fashion. See some of my work on my Facebook page and on Flickr.
