QSL Collectors DO NOT ENTERTAIN VR2 OPERATORS WHO ASK 2 USD FOR A CARD !

Lamma Island ( www.lamma.com.hk ) is situated 2 miles south of HongKong Island and separated by an Eastern Lamma Channel. Non -stop  marine traffic of container carries, fishing vessels, smagling sampans and US Navy entertains the view as well as makes Eastern Lamma Channel  the  bisiest in the world . The last remarkable issue was a departure of USS RONAL REAGAN (CVN-76) with escort of 4 ships and a submarine .

To enjoy the 360 degree view from another hill of Lamma Island please click at

After a tropical typhoons in year 2009 antenna looks much better.

During scheduled night missiom May 9-th 2010 portable position came under the very heavy torrential rain.

Emergency evacuation caused the LOSS of FT-450AT when K8RA Morse Key partly survived.

Now VR2ZQZ/p is BACK TO AIR.

Thanks to Jerry K8RA for key spare parts.

His exellant Morse Keys are VERY relaible for heavy portable use and fully supported by manufacturer

Visiting VR2ZQZ/p position is getting popular. It was visited by more then DX 25 HAMm and just only a few locals VR2 and  OFTA Officials
