First licenced in June 1972 as VE1AWV,upgraded to Advanced in 1975.Also,held the call of VE1LI prior to VY2LI.Member of Radio Amateurs of Canada,Maritime Contest Club,expeditions to (NA-038)Isles de la Madeleine/VE2(1996);(NA-094)St.Paul Island CY9SS(1997,2005).Several contest operations from former superstation VY2SS.Continue to chase some DX but main area of interest these days is contesting on HF bands in all modes.One of my other passions is snowmobiling,shown here with my grandson after a day on the trails.

QSL instructions: US: self addressed envelope and 1 IRC or green stamp. No sase with US stamps. Sase with Canadian stamps only. Overseas: Self addressed envelope and 1 IRC or 2 US dollars. 2 US dollars are now necessary since the postal rate increase in January, 2013. IF YOU WOULD LIKE A DIRECT QSL THE ABOVE IS *ABSOLUTELY* NECESSARY! The current Canadian postal rates (as of January 2013) are: Domestic: $0.63 , USA: $1.10 , Other than US and Canada: $1.85 .PLEASE-- NO BURO cards.
