Hi all - I was first licensed as a novice (KA0PHY) in 1982, then upgraded to General (N8MSJ) in 1991 (lived in Detroit at the time), then I applied for my late Grandfather's call sign, which I have today - W0AXT. I upgraded to Extra class in 2007.

I run a Yaesu 857D, a Palstar AT1KM tuner, and Ameritron AL-80 amplifier (about 500 watts output). Antenna is a flat top dipole up about 40 feet fed with ladder line.

I check in to the eyebank net on 3.970 most days at 6:45 am and meet up with my Dad, KT0M, after that. My boys are also licensed hams - KC0YGT and K0LLN.
