Greetings from the Iron Range of North Eastern Minnesota. There are many lake's and forest's here in the arrowhead region. This is also Iron Mining territory.

I received my Novice License backin 1976. I received my General License a few months later. It gave me a start in the electronics field which later turned into my trade. I now work with medical electronics, networking and communication's equipment at the Essentia Health Virginia. I do have my Extra Class License, a Commercial General Radio-telephone License, Radar Endorsement, Licensed Power Limited Technician and I'm certified in Fiber Optics.

My rigis a Yaesu FT-450D. I use it with a 3 element Cushcraft A3S beamat 45'. I mostly try to work dx on 20/15/10 meters on ssb in the evenings. Also using a 80 meter dipole at 40'. I like to check in on the 3919 Iron Range Net and the 3925 Pico Net. I gladly QSL director via the bureau.

My dog is a 120 lb alaskan malamute named Buck. He was a sled dog when I got him from a musher. He still likes to howl back at the wolves and bury anything left laying around like gloves, my hat, shoes and the kids stuffed animals.

I have a great wife and wonderful daughter's. We all like to fish, swim, downhill ski, cross country ski and snowmobile. Sometimes we ski behind the snowmobile. Buck even pulled all the kids around on a sled a few times.

The bear pictures I took at the Vince Shute Wildlife Sanctuary. This is not in a zoo or high fence ranch. They tend to congregate here especially in the fall for some free food before hibernation. A logger by the name of Vince Shute began feeding them in the 50’s. He started feeding them because they kept breaking into his logging camp looking for food. The bears must tell other bears where to go.
