Hello Friends!* NEW PHOTOS ADDED * (Quad antenna, June 19th) (Delta Loop System, August 28th)
The 160 transmit array was completed today, 10/14/2011 and is working very well. Put it on the air in early evening and hearing very well and is transmitting equally as well. Triangle array is doing great and within a couple of db of the numbers I had in MT for F/B. Still waiting for the conditions to stabilize somewhat to make final adjustments to phase network. The quad is working great and a very impressive antenna, holding up to its reputation of being the 1st in and last out. If I can hear them, they are in the log. The addition of the phased 40 meter delta loops has been fun. While I have not spent a lot of time on 40, I have been on some and have had a ball with some good DX activity to the pacific region as well as into Europe. I am also working on getting things put together that would allow us to retire and relocate back to the East Coast, either in the Adarondak region or in Northern Maine. I am really looking hard at Maine due to the outrageous property taxes in NY. BTW I have to add that we had Bob, K8NY and his XYL Sallie stop this eary summer and stay for almost a week. Great folks and we had a blast! It was great to have Bob help me with the finishing touches on the quad install ! Sebastian (Bazzy) had a ball with Bob and while all the kids hated to see them leave, Bazzy was truly heartbroken when his new buddy departed. Bob and Sallie were on thier way to spend some time in Yellowstone as well as hoping to be able to get into Glacier Nat'l Park. Unfortunately the park never did open until quite late and they missed out on that part of the trip. 73 & Good DX Cal W0IZL (Ex: W7IZL)
