I was licensed in 1963 as WN0GSG while in high school. I upgraded in 1964 and became WA0GSG (remember when the novice license was good for only 1 year?). I passed the extra class exam in San Francisco while in the U.S.Navy in 1969. I was assigned W0RT in 1977. I enjoy cw ragchewing, dxing, and attempting to fix and use vintage radios. I am active on 50, 144, 222, 432 and 1296 Mhz weak signal.(CW and SSB) Member of Central States VHFSociety. DXCC count is 356 mixed, No. 1 Honor Roll Plaque, DXCC on 160M.

We live on a farm and I practice law in southeast Kansas. I enjoy reading, family, bird watching and wild flowers.

My wife, Jane, is a homemaker and grandmother. She has been very supportive of my interest in amateur radio over the years. She enjoys sewing, quilting, gardening and her dog and cats. We have 3 married children and 8 grandchildren. Unfortunately, no hams.(yet) We are active in our church and try to put our faith in God foremost in our lives.

My father, George Tucker, was W0QOA. We lost him in 2001 and I think of him daily.
