First licensed in September, 1980 as KA0JNG, upgraded to Advanced Class in 1983, and Extra in 2011. I changed my call to W0ZF in August 2011.

I like to run many different modes and bands, from 80m to 70cm. (SSB, PSK31, CW, SSTV, FM). Enjoy ragchewing, building equipment, QRP (both CW & SSB), and even a little pedestrian mobile. Also enjoy contesting and DXing - earned DXCC Mixed award in May, 2012.

My video about VHF contesting as a rover station won third place in the 2013 ARRL Video Contest - check it out at arrl.org or search for my call on YouTube.

I'm constantly working to improve my station. Currently, the main rigs are a Yaesu FT-920 and a Yaesu FT-450D. HF Antennas are a Mosley TA-33jr tribander on a 40 foot telescopic tower, and a 130 ft doublet for the lower bands. Also have a ELK dual band beam for 2m/440 and a homebrew Moxon for 6m.

Hope to see you on the bands !

73, Dave
