Please call me Debbie, not Debra! My grandfather was the only one who could get away with calling me Debra. Thank you. Ever since Myrton (n1gke) and I were married in 2001, all I heard about was ham radio and how much he "used to" enjoy it. Sowe found him an HF radio and antenna and got him back on the air. In February of 2004,after hearing "I wish you'd get your ticket" for almost 3 years, I gave in and got my Technician license. I was very content to be on 2M and be able to talk to him and others when I was in the car. Then in December of 2008, he encouraged me to work the 10M contest and that was all it took. I caught the "HF bug" and decided I was not so content with just being on 2M anymore. It was time to upgrade so I could move up to HF. I ordered the General Class and Extra Class study guides from the ARRL and started studying. On May 14, 2009, I went and took my test and not only passed the General, but turned around and passed the Extra the same night. Look out world! I've got a license to hunt DX!
