Whenever a control operator is present the 10 meter link will also be turned on giving the user a link to the world of ten meters. The Belgrade repeater is located off the West Road in Belgrade Lakes and the 443.200 are located in West Mount Vernon. This gives the lakes region amateurs good coverage. Plans are in the works to expand the system south in the next year so that communications will cover a better area of the central part of the State of Maine. Glad to report that expansion has taken place and the new repeater at Belgrade Lakes is up and running on 145.390 - 600 with a tone of 100 hz. The system has a full autopatch into the Augusta area and also runs on emergency power. System from all reports so far the system has good coverage to the coast and nouth. A new antenna is in place but not hooked up as yet. This system is also linked to 443.200 in Kents Hill and will soon have a weather report system via voice activation. Enjoy the system...K1PIG Rev: W1PIG - Tue Jan 19 13:55:07 1999 Last modified: Wed Dec 10 18:00:37 2008 Does this page contain inappropriate content? If so, Report this page... |
