Hello everyone and welcome to my site on QRZ.com

Shown above is my mobile station which is now QRT as I have upgraded my vehicle and have yet to outfit it with HF.

My oldest son is KC2ODP and is a fantastic kid and is a Graduate Student at MIT having graduated from Yale in 2013 (excuse the proud Dad!). He received his General ticket at 13 WPM after studying the Morse Code for one ("1") whole day! Although not his passion, I am glad he has his ticket, and it may come in handy in the years ahead.

My younger son is also a fantastic kid and is a sophmore at Hobart William and Smith College in Geneva, NY. He does not have his ticket, but I hope he pursues it some day.

I have been a Ham since I was 14 (original call WN2VLN) with my friend N2TM (ex WN2TZM) and have enjoyed every minute of it, rag chewing, DXing, and contesting!

Mobile operating conditions were as follows;

Radio: Yaesu FT-100D

Antenna: Ham Stick(s)

Vehicle: 2001 VW Passat

And the base station;

Radio: ICOM 756 Pro III; IC-7000; Kenwood TS520

Amplifier: RM Italy HLA-300V (~300 Watts PEP output w/ ~15 watts drive); Collins 30L1 Wing (700 Watts PEP w/~100 watts drive)

Antenna: 3 el. Yagi (Mosley TA 33-Jr 45+ Years Old); 80 Meter Horizontal Delta Loop at ~30 ft; Dentron MT-3000A Ant Tuner

Height: 40 ft. Crank-up E-Z Way Tower

Fixed Location: Manlius, New York; ~11 miles east of Syracuse N.Y Average Annual Snow Fall: ~125 inches; ~317 cm
