Gordon (most recently N2DSY) has been licensed for over 30 years (his orginal calls were WN2CAM & WB2CAM) and is an ARRL Life Member. His interests are VHF/UHF/Microwave weak signal work, Public Service, building, rag chewing and operating in the field or mobile. Gordon operates HF, VHF and UHF mobile using CW, PSK31, Packet, SSB and FM on all bands from 80M through 13cm.

Club affiliations include the Chestnut Ridge Radio Club, the Bergen Amateur Radio Association and the Fair Lawn Radio Club.  Public Service work includes support for bike rides, runs and walks, the Red Cross, RACES, CERT and also OEM communications for Bergenfield, Bergen County and when available, for Passaic County.  Gordon coordinates a number of these activities and actively encourages participation by others through comprehensive mentoring of new and experienced Amateurs.  He initiated the BARA Tech Net and is its net control on Thursday evenings at 9:00 PM ET on the CRRC  146.955 repeater, K2ETN/R in Alpine, New Jersey (PL 141.3).  Access to this net is also available via Echolink via K2FJ-L. 

Gordon is also the Scoutmaster of St. John the Evangelist Boy Scout Troop 139 in Bergenfield, New Jersey and Venture Crew 7373.  Radio Merit Badge classes are given at Camp Turrell in Cuddebackville, NY  in the summer and also several times during the rest of the year both at camps and in other venues for interested Scouts.  Gordon also organizes several license study courses each year that have resulted in a large number of Scouts and Scouters earning their licenses.  Troop 139 and Crew 7373 currently have eight licensed Scouts and nine licensed Scouters.  http://www.troop139.org
