W2UTH is the commemorative callsign of the Rochester VHF Group (RVHFG), the oldest organized VHF club in the world.  We were founded in 1949 by Hank Blodgett W2UTH and have been at the forefront of VHF, UHF, and SHF amateur communications ever since.  Our members compete in VHF contests, build equipment, work Sporadic-E, Meteor Scatter, EME, Rain Scatter, Tropo and just about any other type of VHF+ propagation you can think of.

We have several beacons currently on the air: on 6m at 50.078MHz running 1.5W to a dipole, on 2m at 144.298MHz running 1.5W to a Big Wheel, and on 1296.260MHz running 2W to a halo.  All of the beacons are located in FN12fs at the home of a VERY cooperative clubmember, at about 1500' ASL.  Beacons for 222, 432, 903, 2304 and above are in the works- check back here for status.  We would love to receive reception reports of our beacons- please send your report to the QRZ address and we'll respond!  Thanks in advance!
