W3YT Repeater 146.865 (-) 123.0 Hz tone

IRLP node 8444, Echolink node 86768, AllStar node 28325

Treasure Island, FL

Serving the islands and surrounding areas with local 2-meter repeater communication and long distance communication via the IRLP, Echolink, and AllStar systems.

The system: The repeater is a GE Mastr II Executive with 20 watts of transmit power after the duplexers. The controller is an Arcom RC-210. The IRLP node uses a Raspberry Pi B+ running the Debian distibution of Linux. The AllStar node and Echolink node uses a Raspberry Pi 2.

The repeater audio is streamed live at:  http://www.broadcastify.com/listen/feed/22219

The live streaming video from the repeater site pointed to the beach is at (daytime only) :   http://www.sunsetbeachflsurfcam.com/

Or the sister cam at: https://video.nest.com/live/V3afIj

THIS IS AN OPEN REPEATER, AVAILABLE TO ALL LICENSED AMATEUR RADIO OPERATORS.

IRLP Codes:

111          connection status of node

XXXX      connect to distant IRLP node

73            disconnect from distant linked IRLP node

9999        IRLP echo reflector to hear playback of your signal via IRLP (73 to disconnect)

AllStar / Echolink Codes:

*511   connection status of node ("clear" means not connected to a node; "medium power" means connected to another node with a        cut-back in power)

*3XXXX  connect to distant node

*76  disconnect all nodes

*81 time

Shortcuts to connect to certain hubs or nodes:

*54 WAN System Hub (PA and East Coast)

*55 WIN System (CA)

*56 Alaska reflector

*58 Saltgrass Hub (TX)

*59 WA3DSP Hub (PA)

*512 NX4Y Hub 40688 (Tampa)

*513 WB6NIL Hub 2026 (Los Angeles)

*514 East Coast Reflector

*515 UK Hub

*516 UK ECHO HUB

*517 W7QED repeater, Glendale CA

*518 W3RX Mobile Node

Echolink on AllStar:

Connect to any Echolink node by DTMF using *33XXXXXX  (note you need to pad the front end of a node number with 0's so that the total node digit number = 6; example, to call node 12345, hit *33012345)

You may also connect TO this node/repeater from your computer via Echolink; search for the call sign

Diconnect from a Echolink node is *13XXXXXX  (again, pad the node number with 0's)

CHANGING THE REPEATER FROM IRLP TO ALLSTAR/Echolink:

DTMF from your radio toggle between IRLP and AllStar/Echolink:

(Note, please disconnect from any nodes before you toggle to a different system)

Switch to the AllStar/Echolink - ready state: enter C99

After C99 you will hear a female voice message "The AllStar System is Activated"; you may already be connected to another node, or not.

Switch to IRLP- ready state: enter B66

After B66 you will hear a male voice message "IRLP Connected"; you may already be connected to another node, or not.

To see what state the system is in:

111 will give a message only if in the IRLP - ready state, and it is a MALE VOICE

*511 will give a message only if in the AllStar/Echolink - ready state, and it is a FEMALE voice

If you get nothing for either code, try the toggle codes again

NOTE CHANGE AS OF JAN 2016: Echolink is now in parallel with the AllStar system instead of IRLP. You are now able to join QSOs with multiple hubs or nodes interconnected.
