Received my ham ticket in March 1989. Loved DX from the start. My Uncle,WA4WXA, encouraged me to get the extra class ticket to better chase DX. I enjoy building wire antennas and have built many thru the years for HF. I built a double bazooka once for 440 and it worked great, fit in your shirt pocket. I enjoy attending hamfests and meeting other hams. Joined the Honor Roll August of 1994. My rigs are the Elecraft K-3 and Yaesu 1000D. My antenna's: 10-80m super loop, 80m dipole at 65',and a 160m Carolina windom at 45'. I have a 110' tower with a 4 element steppIR beam for 6 thru 20M, and a 40m 2 element beam. I credit my DX skills to KB4I,SK, who showed me how to DX and get them. Other encouraging hams are W4QO,K4MJ,NN4E,AB4LX,N4PMG, and WB4BNT,Walt SK. My favorite contact was Kerguelen Island DXpedition. I worked them on a rain gutter in a restricted sub-division.

My grandson "Chase". Teaching him to be a cw op.
