The picture is Navy Radio NSS.  One million watt VLF transmitter.

The console controls two big rigs combined into a Helix that fills

a five story building, ahead of the antenna.

That's a pair of glowing 3-500's driven by 807's in the window.

The operator on duty is Me!

I learned the code copying and sending along with NSS in the 40's,  then fortunate to later be stationed there.
