The Tennessee Emergency Communications Association (TNECA) is headquartered near Crossville TN. All volunteers hold a valid FCC license,  have been EmCom Certified and are NIMS compliant.

The association strives to offer training and support to many groups throughout the state in order to achieve a very high level of readiness. Extensive communications assets are available (including a fully equipped Emergency Command Center) to serve during local or national emergencies. For example, the group was deployed to MS and served for several weeks following Katrina.
