Moved from Visalia CA, to Lyman SC. Lyman is in the Greenville area. We moved here to be close to my daughter and her husband. I lost my wife of 37 years, Kathy in January 2011.

. I was first licensed in 1965 as WN2TUN in Hornell, New York at age 14.

Graduated from, Drake University in Des Moines Iowa in 1973. In Iowa I held the call WD0GMQ, then upgraded to advance class and became KB0OE.

Started working in the broadcast industry at age 16 as a DJ for WLEA in Hornell N.Y. and worked for such stations as WHEC Rochester, NY, KSO Des Moines, KRNT Des Moines while going through school. Married in 1976 to Kathy in Des Moines. We have one daughter, Alexis. Worked for KRNT AM/FM TV for many years after earning my BA from Drake University.I also was known as Sky Spy doing morning traffic reports from a Hughes 500d Jet Helicopter. In 1981 we were transferred to Phoenix and KOOL FM. In Phoenix I received the call KC7PG. After 3 years in Phoenix we moved to Visalia, CA in the Fresno radio market.

I was a broadcast station owner for a few years, then sold the station and went to work for Buckley Broadcasting as VP and General Manager of KSEQ and KIOO Fresno/Visalia where I worked for 21 years. Retired with medical issues in October of 2008 and became very active on the ham bands again as I have lots of time on my hands.

Although brain disorders seem to be the rule among hams, I have a rare one called Dystonia that effects my brain and my muscles, similar to Parkinsons disease. It can make CW a challenge for me at times because I'm too stuborn to use a keyboard rather than my keyer.

I have always loved radio, both ham and commerical broadcast.

Current gear includes:a new FT dx 5000 ,IC 9100, K3 with P3 and SVGA monitor, FT 897D, KPA 500 AMP and Tunner andthe Quadra amp. For antennas I have a T6 Log, Cushraft MA160V for 160 meters with about 80 radials, for rcv I am using a Pixel and Homebrew loop, hope to have a beverage or two going soon. The towe ris 60 feet of RG 25.Running a 5 element M2 6 meter beam and a small 7 element M2beam for 2 meter ssb and cw.  On 432 I have 2 x 11 at 25 feet (got to do better with the 2 meter and 432I have taken an interest in vintage gear recently (4/13) and have added a Drake TR4C, a Yaseu FT101ZD and FT ONE.  Looking for the accessories for the vintage rigs now as well as having WB4HFN work on the TR4C.  The TR 4 was a rig I first had in 1967.  I had an FT101E in the early 80's.  Never had an FT One, it was just too good of a deal to past up.  Have really enjoyed 160 and 6 meters Have WAS on 160 and hope to have WAS on 6 soon, Have now worked WAS on 160. I am also a DX'er and currently312 confirmed mixed. Have DXCC completed on 10, 12, 15 ,20, 40 and 160. now, working on 80, 30 and 17 and have almost got 17. I'm at 92 as of this morning. Have about 40 countries confirmed on 6 meters and wouldlove dxcc on that band. We'll have to see how this next sumer season works out. Maybe, you never know. I also have added the RF Concepts TE  14612G 28 volt 2 meter amp that runs 600 watts so I'll be chasing ssb and cw on that band a little harder this season as well.

Here's a picture tour of W4TUN, new tower, 160 meter vertical and radials, pixel low band rcv.and Lilly the Schnauzer, Lola was busy in another part of the yard and not available for photo op this time. I am negoating with her agent for the next shoot. Both Lilly and Lola love the VOX and have been known to operate the station when left in that postion. Especially when the mailman is out front with new QSL cards

73's and good DX
