The tower incident detailed below caused us to consider down sizing and moving away from Austin, TX, which has become too congested with no releif in sight, because of politicians and bureaucrats with no common sense yet out of control on tax and spend mindset, making it too expensive compared to qulaity of life.

We found some freinds my XYL went to elementary school with who had moved to a quiet, friendly, way less costly and beautiful community in Carriere, MS, 50 miles and minutes NE of New Orleans, LA. We visited there several times and found a just renovated inside and out home that was a perfect catch. We sold our home in Austin and moved into the new QTH May 2, 2014 and hope to be on the air from here soon. Here's a morning view from the deck off the living room.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My freestanding tower in Austin, TX blew over in a freak wind storm about 8 PM local time on Feb 25, 2013.

Western leg of tower fractured just above base plate.

Tower stopped at roof of breezeway between house and garage at a 45 degree angle.

Antennas salvaged, tower not useable.

Currently using several Internet Remote stations until I get a tower back up.

There are many remote stations available for listening and some to transmit from. Download the client application at
