I Discovered amateur radio while serving in the USAF. Attended Tech school at Keesler AFB in Biloxi MS. Electronics Fundamentals, radar sets and radar operator. I was stationed on various radar sites. After service I attended Louisiana State University, B. S. Chemistry. I began working for a local ready mix concrete company in 1958 and continued employment to date.

I am #1 Honor Roll DXCC SSB, DXCC RTTY. Totals SSB 357 Mixed 357. CW 288 and RTTY 290. For chalange1488. I am an avid DX'er. Equipment include: Elecraft K3, P3 and KPA 500 amp, and SteppIR 4 element beam, 75 feet. Lately I have been after IOTA contacts and have 723 confirmed.

I now work mostly CW since SSB was the mode used in the beginning of my DXCC quest. Some RTTY and SSB when I see a new one or if requested to work these two modes. I do like to have a long QSO rathar than 599 73.

Clubs: Delta DX Association Inc., New Orleans VHF Club, ARRL, INDEXA, Northern Cal. Dx Association, and others.

Married to Lillian, three (3) daughters and three (5) grandchildren. I have operated from VP1JU, HV3SJ, V31JY, GM/W5ZE IOTA EU-012, Station of RSGB in Pottesbar, England, Rio de Janiero,Brazil,and Madrid, Spain.
