I first got my ticket in 1982 as a Novice and moved up to general right away. My old call is N6HUR. I operated a lot of CW and DX but ended up letting my license expire in 2003. I got the bug again and repeated the exams and now hold a general as W6DIZ. The DIZ is in remembrance of a wonderful cat I had for about 20 years named Dizzy. Soon I will take the Extra exam. My other activities that I love are flying and music. I owned a flight school in Santa Rosa Ca named "American Aviation Flight School". I am not current but will be getting so soon, as I plan to retire in a couple of years and will start instructing again. I have instructed all over the SanFransisco bay area and also worked as a jump pilot flying King Airs and Super Twin Otters. I have CFII and MEI licenses from the FAA. Below is a picture of the last airplane I owned with my partner, a very nice Cessna 414 Also one of the Super Twin Otters I used to fly jumpers in.

I also have been playing guitar for about 40 years and really love to play. I have a small recording studio in my house. My station consists of an ICOM 7410,Icom 703+, Collins S Line, Icom 745x2, OHR 500 QRP x2  and some VHF/UHF gear and a Wilderness Radio Sierra QRP rig that I run on solar power. I will be updating my Biography very soon.
