Retired March '10. Love to travel in our Motorhome. Did 20 years in the Marines, 21 years in technology for our local school district.
Since I live in a HOA, I am using my 21/2"diameter aluminum 38' flag pole with 5 feet of wire (over all 43') to a sgc-235 autotuner, as my primary hf antenna. I have my 2m/440 dual band, 220 and 6m antennas painted and running up several palm trees in our yard which somewhat limits my signal, but I love a challenge and trying new things alll the time.
NOTE: As of October 2011, I record most of my contacts. If you did not receive an audio file, possible I didn't have your correct email from QRZ. If you would like to hear what you sound like, send me your email and I'll send you a copy of the QSO audio file.
I do QRZ, eQSL and LOTW.

Everything 12volt is connected to a BIG AGM battery which is kept charged with a 100amp RV power supply that has a triple stage battery charger. If the 110 drops, everything will still be operating on the 12volt and I can turn off the equipment I don't need to save the battery or turn on the generator.
