Click for more detail... I was licensed in 1970 as WN6EIJ. Later, I took the Lockheed Employees Rec Club General licensing class taught by Bill Welsh, W6DDB. Initial station was a borrowed National military radio, and an Ameco tx. Later got a Johnson Adventurer and Hammerlund rx, and still later an HW-16 and a 14AVQ vertical. Passed my general in 1971. The next year, I moved with my family to Williston North Dakota, my call was WB0HAH. Upgraded to Extra in 1978. Traded the HW-16 for a Drake 2NT and 2C. Went QRT after college, in 1982. Moved back to Los Angeles in 1983, and in November 1999, got back on the air. Current interests are portable operation.
