The SFARC is one of the oldest clubs in the nation. Our proud heritage dates back to 1909, officially established in 1916 and incorporated in 1919. We are affiliated with the ARRL and have a VHF repeater (145.150- MHz with full Pl 114.8) with wide coverage throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. We also offer a D-Star repeater (147.105).The San Francisco Amateur Radio Club proudly works in partnership with the Ft. Miley Veterans Medical Center in San Francisco and maintains the center's Amateur Radio Station W6VSF (see QRZ.com page). The Club call sign of W6PW, San Francisco Amateur Radio Club commemorates the memory of John L. Stevens, long-time Club member and past-president. Our weekly VHF net:Wednesday Nights @ 20:00(8:00 pm local), HF QSO Group: Saturdays at 10am (PST), 14.340 Mhz +/- and Membership meetings on the 3rd Friday of the month at the Veterans Hospital (Ft.Miley)42nd Ave, & Clement St. Bldg. # 7 in the Auditorium at 20:00 (8pm).
