The Profile picture is me fishing on Rufus Woods Reservior on the Columbia River above Chief Joesph Dam in Bridgeport, Washington.

I got my technician license on Field Day 2010 and then upgraded to General in December 2010. I upgraded to Extra class March 24,2012

I must thank my friend and elmer Larry W7WX for all the help, and encouragement so far, and he still is helping. And a special  thanks to Al KK7UF for his on going help and support and everyone else who has elmered me along in this great hobby.

I grew up in a little town in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains in North Eastern Washington State called Twisp. After High School in 1971, I moved to the Bay Area in California, where I worked in construction driving Heavy Equipment. Due to some unfortunate circumstances, I fortunately got to retire kind of young and moved back to where I grew up in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, in 2004.

I run a Yaesu 2900 in my Jeep and an IC2200H in my boat, and  in my Pickup I use the ic2300H

In the Shack:

I just bought an ID5100 for VHF and UHF

I just purchased an Icom 756Prolll and also the Ameritron ALS600 amp to go along with it

The IC746 Pro is now for sale contact me!! 3/11/15

I also picked up a  TS 480 and use that as well in my shack, sweet radio.

I also just picked up a used IC7100 that I will be using as well

I use the Dentron GTL 1000 tuner for my main tuner

I use the Audio-Technica ATR-30 boom mic and like it so much I bought a second one to use with the IC706MkllG

For power I use the AL80B Amp.

On my roof I have a 4 band wire fan dipole for 80,40 20, and 10 meters.

Added a 160 loop wire antenna Jan 2014

I put up the TH6DX Oct 2,2012 and I LOVE it

I have a 2 meter and a 6 meter antenna on the tower and on top of that I put my Imax 2000 vertical. It is a beautiful thing. IMO. That is my set up for now...

I am involved in our local Ham club, The Okanogan County Amateur Radio Club. W7ORC
