First licensed in 1954 I built a lot of my equipment until purchasing a Swan 350. I kept up my license while inactive for many years with my family and career. Returning to the air in 2006 I upgraded to Extra, and now run an IC-756PROIII with an AL-811H linear. I have dipoles for 75m and 40m, a five band HexBeam for 20 and up, and a square loop for 6M. These days I’m on the nets on 75, chasing DX on all bands, and counting grids on 6M, from our five acres North of Seattle – a wonderful location for ham radio.
