Callsign effective 26 Jan 2008 (previous callsigns: W7TTE, K9TTE)

Note: on 18 March 2014 I received approximately 200 cards from the bureau for the years 2006-2007 (W7TTE) and 2008-2009 (W7VS). If you sent me a QSL card through the bureau during that time period, requested a QSL and did not receive one direct or via LoTW, I will reply via the bureau as soon as possible. I'm sorry for the delay, but these cards WERE NOT withheld at my request.

My QTH is located six miles north of Bend, Oregon in central Oregon's high desert region near 3400 feet elevation. Summer daytime temperatures average around 80F while winter sees occasional snow and average daily temperatures of about 40F. Total annual precipitation is between 10 and 13 inches. County: Deschutes; Grid: CN94he; CQ Zone: 3; ITU Zone: 6.

Amateur operator since 1959 with two previous periods of activity, 1959-1961, Evanston, IL and 1970-1971, Champaign, IL, as K9TTE.

Active on 160 thru 6m, working mostly DX, IOTA, lighthouses and special event stations. Modes: CW, SSB, and several digital modes. Current equipment: Elecraft K3/P3, QS1R SDR, Alpha 8410 and Palstar Auto-AT KL matchbox. Antennas are a SteppIR DB-36 and a DXE Thunderbolt vertical modified for 160 and two half-slopers for 80 m.

I reply to all QSL cards and I make frequent LoTW uploads. Cards received via the bureau will be replied to via the bureau. If you need a QSL for OR, Deschutes County or my grid square send your QSL direct to my PO box.

Practitioner: DX Code of Conduct
