Licensed as W8FWG on August 3, 1950. Started out in CW as a favorite mode, Worked: "AM" phone, SSB, RTTY, Packet Radio. Retired from Michigan Bell/Ameritech with 39 years of service. My job classification was: "Switching Equipment Technician" and I installed and maintained long distance switching equipment in the Ripley (Hancock) Central Office.

I'm a member of the ARRL Volunteer Examiner Team, and am an ARRL OBS and OO.

My current interest is Public Service, and in my spare time I report weather (as a Cooperative Observer) for NOAA weather in their Marquette (MI) office.
