First licensed as WN9PJK in 1954 (Novice Class).  Later, I upgraded to Technician, General and finally Amateur Extra Class.  I started out in NW Indiana.

Joined the US Navy in 1964 and operated some phone patches back to the states while on Mediterranean cruises.   My last assignment was on a Swift Boat in Vietnam.  Afterwards, moved back to Indiana and started my career with ALCOA (Aluminum Company of America).  Later moved to Pennsylvannia and finally settled in Iowa in 1980.  I was off the air from 1988 until April 2013,  My favorite mode is CW.  In 2001 I retired from ALCOA.
