I was first licensed as WN9PJK in 1954 (Novice Class). Later, I upgraded to W9PJK as Technician Class, then General Class and subsequently as Extra Class. I started out in NW Indiana. Joined the US Navy in 1964 and operated some phone patches to the states while on Mediterranean cruises. Afterwards, moved back to Indiana, then Pennsylvannia and finally settled in Iowa in 1980. I returned to ham radio in April 2013 after a 25 year absence. I thoroughly enjoy CW which is my primary mode.
