The picture was taken operating the 40 meter station at the West Allis Radio Amateur Club’s Field Day 2013. Though I try to get on the air as much as a busy schedule will allow, I always seem to be looking for more time to play radio.

I primarily operate 80-10 meters, phone, RTTY, JT65, PSK31, and WSPR. I have a few favorite contests that I enjoy and make it a point to participate; otherwise I jump into some of the friendly rag chew Q’s. Operating HF mobile has helped me get some additional QSO time, not to mention making those long drives times go more quickly! Occasionally you will find me on a repeater or in a nice 6 meter opening, but I have not done much with VHF or above. Above HF digital and 2 meter SSB interests me, but I just have not found the time for it.

I am actively involved in the West Allis Radio Amateur Club, club secretary since 2011 and board member from 2010 to 2011. The club also sponsors the Wisconsin QSO Party and I sit on the QSO Party committee.
