The picture was taken operating the 40 meter station at the West Allis Radio Amateur Club’s Field Day 2013. I try to get on the air as much as a busy schedule will allow.

I primarily operate 80-10 meters, Phone, RTTY, JT65, JT9, PSK31, WSPR, and D-STAR (DVAP/2m/440MHz/HF). I have a few favorite contests that I enjoy and make it a point to participate; otherwise I jump into some of the friendly rag chew Q’s. Operating HF mobile has helped me get some additional QSO time, not to mention making those long drives seem short!

I have been involved in the West Allis Radio Amateur Club, club secretary, 2011-2014 and board member, 2010-2011. The club also sponsors the Wisconsin QSO Party and I sit on the QSO Party committee.
