Located in EN-51UT, active on 160 - 10 CW as well as 6 Meters, 2 Meters, 222, 432 and 1296 weak signal. I am actively looking for skeds on PU-43 running a homebrew DSP-10 2 meter transciever (completed 01/03).

Pictures of the Monsti-ir 4-element 40meter through 6meter beam at 145 feet can be found at http://W9XA.US   This antenna is mounted atop a 120 foot Rohn SSV self-supporting tower which uses a 40' section of Rohn-45G as a mast which is rotated on a K0XG bearing/rotator at the 100' and 120'  level.

I operate repeaters in Batavia Illinois on 1292.00 (1272.00 input); 443.65 (Motorola MDC required) as part of the STROKE/WB9PHK system; and IRLP node # 4846 on 224.4 Mhz.

Details of my recent work with a 4K3SJ Varian Klystron (rated 1.0kW output on 2.3 Ghz) can be found at

http://W9XA.US/W9XA/4K3SJ.html

I am honored to serve as the Vice-Director of the ARRL Central Division which is comprised of Indiana, Wisconsin and Illinois.  Feel free to contact me with your concerns and comments at W9XA@ARRL.ORG or call at the telephone number listed below.

My other interests include work as a volunteer builder and area coordinator for AMSAT with a total of over 100 parts machined for the P3D/Oscar-40 effort. I am an active "Aviation Safety Counselor" with the DuPage FAA FSDO office in West Chicago Illinois and I an an active CFI -Certified Flight Instructor. I hold certificates as Flight Instructor for Single and Multiengine aircraft, the Instrument Instructor rating in both classes of airplane as well as the A&P - Airframe and Powerplant (mechanic) rating.

When not at work at Fermilab as an Engineering Physicist, or working in the shack , I can be found at my hangar at the Aurora Municipal Airport in Sugar Grove Illinois flying (or maintaining) my 1975 Piper Seneca II twin, or my antique 1946 Aeronca Champ.

Please feel free to contact me at W9XA@yahoo.com or by phone at (630) 879-0983 (voice mail after seven rings).
