Click for more detail... I was first licensed on February 3,1967 at the age of 14 as a novice with the call WN3HJJ. At that time I ran a Knightkit T-60 xtal transmitter at 60 watts. My receiver was a Lafayette HA-225. Back then the novice operators had 1 year to upgrade. Thank God I made it. HiHi. I passed my general exam and received my new call as WA3HJJ. I have held that call and class of license my whole life since. My favorite mode is CW but I enjoy them all including PSK31 ,RTTY and SSTV. Over the years running different rigs like a Johnson Viking-2 transmitter and Lafayette receiver, Heathkit HW-32A transceiver, Icom IC-735 transceiver and my new Icom IC-746 transceiver, I have managed to work WAS,WAC,and DXCC. As of Sept.25,2009 I have 220 countries confirmed by the ARRL(mostly with wire antennas) but still need CQ zones 24 and 26 for my WAZ (Can you believe that). I just put up a 3 element yagi ( A Cushcraft A3S) to try for those 2 zones during cycle 24. In the picture is my 7 yr old tabby cat named Stinker( I won't go into that name in detail). Hi. He is helping me measure a future dipole antenna. From paw to paw is 1 foot.Well, that's it from my QTH. My very best 73's. God Bless, and I look forward to working you on the air if we haven't already. Take Care. Last modified: Wed Sep 30 18:42:28 2009 Does this page contain inappropriate content?
