Hi, Thanks for looking at my QRZ site. I have enjoyed ham radio since 1962. I was only on VHF for many years

but upgraded and have been on HF since 1980. I like to run portable VHF/ HF scheds and contests when I'm out

camping in my 4x4 van or RV.

My QTH rig is a IC 7000 with a G5RV for most of the HF work. Mobile I use a IC706 and screwdriver ant.

I'm retired now but did work at JPL (Jet Propulsion Lab) for 36 years starting in 1962. I worked on some early space

craft cameras that took the first pictures of Mars in 1964. Also an instrument that went to the Moon to measure plasma from there.

Other JPL projects were microwave radiometers for both space and ground use.For the last ten years I worked on the HST space telescope cameras .

My hobbys are photography, camping, and 4 wheeling but ham radio seems to take most of my time now with JT65 or JT9 digital modes. Also some WSPR .

Thanks for droping by, Hope to see you on the bands. Dick , WA6JBZ.
