QSL image for WA9PIE

Owner of Ham Radio Deluxe Software

Please QSL via LOTW.

NOTE: IF you worked me on my mobile, and you use LOTW, please DO NOT enter my call as WA9PIE/M. I don't keep a seperate log for LOTW and the system is not useful for those who don't keep a seperate log for mobile operations. I log the contacts in the same log as my fixed station log and they go into LOTW as WA9PIE.

Active in DXing, contesting, DX PacketCluster, RTTY, PSK31, SSTV, ATV, CW, SSB, mobile operating, and other.

[DXCC (333/327), Challenge (1,109), CW, Phone, Digital, 8BDXCC (working on 160m, 6m, & (eventually) 2m).]

Fixed station:
Rig is: Yaesu FTdx5000MP, Icom IC-910H
Amplifier is: Yaesu Quadra System
Antennas are: - Gap Titan DX (80-10); inverted-L (160)

Mobile station:
Rig is: Icom IC-706MkIIG
Antennas is: Tarheel Model 100A-HP w/N2VZ Turbo Tuner

Many folks have asked about the mobile station and I get lots of complements about the signal strenght and quality. You can see pictures of the construction of the mobile station at:

http://www.wa9pie.net/hamradio

The only permanent modification to the truck was welding the mount for the Tarheel (which, when removed, is nearly unseen). Everything else is mounted without holes or permanent fixtures.
